Ash A6 Postcard Frame

Postcard frame handmade in our Utrecht workshop from Utrecht city ash and completed with recycled local materials. Designed to display standard A6, 148 × 105 mm, format postcards.

Ash grows along waterways in the city, it is particularly recognisable in winter with dark buds. The timber is pale with an open grain structure and tones that range from creamy white and straw to warm honey and light brown. Occasionally, darker olive ash cuts add more dramatic figure.

Glass and hardware are recovered from second-hand sources where possible, and frames are supplied with hardware to hang or stand in landscape and portait and an off-white/anthracite reversable matboard. The frame is supplied for floating mounting, with 2 mm spacers and mounting adhesives.

Choose between a flat frame face or a subtle 10-degree bevel. If a frame is not in stock it can be made to order, usually within two weeks of purchase.
