Dichterswijk Lijsten is a small workshop run by Alie Tacq in Utrecht, The Netherlands. We make art frames from differently-sourced materials, in creative collaboration with local artists, institutions, and initiatives.

Materials with a story
We build frames using wood from Utrecht city trees and reclaimed materials. We choose materials for character and suitability from our network of local, sustainable, and circular suppliers.
Artworks are always well protected with archival materials including mat boards, dust covers, and fixings.

Our frames respond to the natural character and figuring of wood. They feature robust and creative joinery composed to complement the artwork.
Frames are protected with a range of natural-look finishes, and completed with neutral-toned passe-partouts, and picture glass.
