Oak A6 Postcard Frame

Postcard frame handmade in our Utrecht workshop from Utrecht city oak and completed with recycled local materials. Designed to display standard A6, 148 × 105 mm, format postcards.

European oak benefit from drier sandy soils around Utrecht. The wood has open grain and medullary rays, which can appear as lighter flecks or lines across the surface. Finished simply, this white oak is usually quite pale, moving from light beige to a muted straw colour.

Glass and hardware are recovered from second-hand sources where possible, and frames are supplied with hardware to hang or stand in landscape and portait and an off-white/anthracite reversable matboard. The frame is supplied for floating mounting, with 2 mm spacers and mounting adhesives.

Choose between a flat frame face or a subtle 10-degree bevel. If a frame is not in stock it can be made to order, usually within two weeks of purchase.
