Postcard frame handmade in our Utrecht workshop from Utrecht city elm and completed with recycled local materials. Designed to display standard A6, 148 × 105 mm, format postcards.
Utrecht actively protects and manages its elms against Dutch elm disease. When city trees do have to come down, the timber can be given a second life as local wood. Elm can vary from milky coffee to deeper browns, often with a subtle green undertone.
Glass and hardware are recovered from second-hand sources where possible, and frames are supplied with hardware to hang or stand in landscape and portait and an off-white/anthracite reversable matboard. The frame is supplied for floating mounting, with 2 mm spacers and mounting adhesives.
Choose between a flat frame face or a subtle 10-degree bevel. If a frame is not in stock it can be made to order, usually within two weeks of purchase.
